A Secure Place for Your Healing Journey
Many people feel unfulfilled with their lives and silently try to work through their problems alone. They know what they want but are unsure of how to achieve their goals. They may believe that they need to carry their burden alone and worry that something is wrong with them if they are unable to do so.
If this is you and you are struggling to make changes in your life, I can help you. Here are a few reasons why my sessions are so safe, effective and well-rounded:
1). I do not take sides. As your therapist, I am here to help you. It’s possible that the fear of being judged or blamed keeps you from seeking help. You may struggle to move past your burdensome shame and anxiety. During our therapy sessions, I will compassionately listen to you without judgment, no matter how embarrassing or anxiety-provoking your situation may be. My role is to remain neutral and help you find ways to cope better, move past your emotional pain and find positive solutions.
2). You can learn to find personal resources within yourself. You have the opportunity to work through your problems. I am your guide and teacher who provides you with different perspectives of how to view your situation and an alternative way to process. In the end, you can develop better coping skills and work through road blocks in your life so you can move past your painful memories.
3). You can invest in your well-being. It is difficult at times to see the value in paying someone to listen to you. However, various scientific studies support the numerous benefits of therapy. Not only does therapy allow you to learn positive tools and coping strategies for your emotional health, but it can also improve your physical well-being. The stress and strain you experience may be taking an enormous toll on your physical health. Finding new ways to work through your issues during therapy sessions can help you release physical and emotional stresses, which can ultimately lower your long-term healthcare costs.
4). Psychotherapy is proven to help clients maintain positive change. Research has found that people in therapy begin to feel better after about 6 – 12 sessions. When you and I establish a positive relationship, you will have the chance to be more confident, allow yourself to process your emotions and feel safe enough to dig deeper into your thought process. As a result, you will no longer need to silently carry your painful burden. With my support, you can feel encouraged to move forward, achieve your goals and live a fulfilling life.
5). Your personal life is kept confidential. In order for you to feel safe and speak openly about your personal life, you need to know that your sessions are confidential. Our HIPPA laws and code of ethics require that I do not discuss your matters outside of our sessions, unless you give consent via written permission or another person’s life is in danger. Confidentiality is sacred. I understand the deep pain that would result if you felt unsafe and betrayed.
